Ducatitours is a fully registered Italian Tour Operator - "Speciality Tour di Joseph Charity" - based in our new offices at Lucca (details below). Although the operating business has changed we are still the same people, doing the same job and are 100% committed to providing the best motorcycle tours and holidays available. We continue to be owned and run by the same British & North American staff. Our Managing Director, Joseph Charity, has been a motorcyclist for more than 25 years and has experience of European touring, using bikes for communting, as a London despatch rider, cruising through California, off-road riding and riding on the track. He is a confirmed Italophile especially when it comes to motorcycles and cars having owned a long list of vehicles with Character (Including Ducati, MV Agusta, Gilera, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Fiat and Ferrari) plus many Japanese sportsbikes.

Joe Charity is the prinicipal guide, ideas man and general "get it done" member of the team. Riding for nearly 25 years and just about still in one piece, for 2009 he will be the one making sure you enjoy the ride. Derek Mazerolle came on a trip with us in 2007 and decided he couldn't get enough of the Ducatitours trips, so he has joined us as our North American Director of Operations and will be in Italy regularly during the season acting as tour guide and tea boy. Derek has been riding on road and track for many years and now that we have cured him of his Suzuki affliction is a welcome addition to the team. Steve Crowther our man in Customer Support and Logistical Services, spent most of the 2007 season driving the support car and doing the "fetch and carry" role. 2008 He claims that he will be doing the organising from the comfort of his arm chair. The 2009 fleet is made up of 848, 999, 1098, 1098R, New Monster, Hypermotard, Monster, Multistrada, Sportclassic and ST3 models). If bikes are not out on tour, we offer rental services. Our tours are designed to meet a wide variety of riders and skill levels, if you have any questions about pace or skill levels, please email us!
Flights are extra to our tours. We are more than happy to help you with travel plans and book flights for you if required. As well as tours we offer motorcycle rental and superbike hire.

We offer a specific Ducati motorcycle and when you arrive that is exactly what you will ride (no general bike types here!) when you come for your motorcycle tours italy. If you have already been on one of our tours and there is a specific bike you want to have again, just tell us and whereever possible we will reserve that specific bike for you. Some of our bikes are red, some yellow and some Black, there are even a couple of 'S' specification models - that's the most variance you will find
Some tours include link up to special events such as the World Ducati Week this June. We offer our 'Trackpack' option of using our bikes on the track with a special package including track compound Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa tyres, special brake pads and assistance with setup
Access is included to special Ducati gatherings (Such as WDW, tours of the Factory and the Ducati enclosure at the Italian round of MotoGP)
A little technology goes a long way! When riding in groups we have inter-communication between all bikes
Italy is a very colourful and characterful country. Our chosen fleet and the locations we visit reflect these aspects
Our tours are kept small, with a maximum of eight riders in any one group
We offer the highest level of ease and convenience and a complete support team
We select our hotels for their character and comfort and style
All riders are allocated their own double room (no room sharing or supplements apply on our tours)
Our low cost 'Partner packages' allow partners/wives/girlfriends/boyfriends to come along whether they want to ride pillion all week, some of the week or not at all. (Our support vehicle will transport them to the next hotel while you are out having fun!) - Partners will share the rider's room.
We are flexible. The riding pace will be geared to the people on the specific tour. If clients want to follow a their own route, they are free to do so
Whether you currently ride a Ducati or some other type of motorbike, during our tours you will become part of the special community of the Ducatisti
Our bikes are highly maintained, late model Ducatis with tyres/brakes/configuration suitable for the type of riding involved. We arrange to pick you up from the airport and transport you to the bikes. Your luggage is transported in the support vehicle during the entire trip. Most hotels have pools and some even have private beaches! Where applicable ferry crossings, event tickets etc are included. Dinner reservations are made (but you can always go off on your own if your prefer it). We recommend being hungry on the last full day as our farewell dinners are not for the faint hearted. In the end.....we will even give you the t-shirt!
