We meet at our Pisa airport rendezvous for this 7 night tour of Tuscany culminating in the Italian MotoGP at Mugello. This tour takes in many of the best riding roads of the area.

Motorbikes will be collected on the first day (early afternoon) followed by a 2 hour ride to the first hotel. Participants travelling from far-a-field, (who may be 'enjoying' jet lag) may prefer the option of being driven to the first hotel (your bike will be trailered to the hotel). The following days and nights will present many opportunities for some spirited riding and some luxurious relaxation.

This tour will include some motorway riding (after the GP) but concentrates on good country roads.

Days 3 and 5 may be used as rest days, for private touring or for optional local area rides with the guide.

A Ducati factory museum tour is organised for day 6 of this tour.

The MotoGP is on the seventh and last full day of the tour.

This 7 night tour follows the itinerary below.

The meeting point is Pisa airport at 2.30pm on the start date of your tour. If you cannot meet at this time, please contact us.
From the meeting point you will be taken by minibus to the DucatiTours base for a briefing and allocation of bikes.
There are changing facilities available and there will be time to sort out any small items you would like to carry with you.

We set off for an (approx.) 2 hour ride to the first hotel just outside of the "Medieval Manhattan" San Gimignano. All riders are provided with a radio based intercom for bike to bike communication, a route book and map. We advise all clients to bring a mobile phone that works in Italy. This first ride is completed in a group with the tour leader. The first hotel is provides dinner for all clients (included in the tour price).

The second day's ride only covers about 80km as the crow flies but, Ducati riders take a longer route! The route takes in rolling hills, riding through a mix of forested, agricultural and vineyard covered landscapes. A lunch break is organised in the Siena area with an opportunity to look around the city. The afternoon ride takes us across country to the west to the next hotel stop in Castiglioncello on the coast. The days ride will present lots of good back road segments that you can;t help but enjoy. This evenings hotel practically hovering above the sea, includes a pool and private beach so there is plenty of space to lie back and relax!

An optional circular tour is organised by our guide or you may choose to ride your own course. Alternatively you may choose to just sit on the beach and take in some rays!

We travel east across the heart of the Chianti area famous for centuries for its natural beauty. Route and pace on this leg of the tour are tailored to the group. The 4th and 5th nights are based in our selected hotel in the heart of 'Chiantishire]' at Greve in Chianti.

Optional tours of the high Pratomagno hills, the Casentino and dipping into Le Marche for the morning and, just to prove that motorcyclist like a little culture, a trip into Florence will be offered in the afternoon.

A slightly earlier start today to reflect the longer ride ahead. The afternoon has a trip organised around the Ducati factory museum. Depending on time and energy levels we may use the autostrada to return to the hotel area. We stay in the Fiesole area tonight (near the Mugello track).

The last full day takes in the Italian MotoGP at Mugello (tickets included in the tour price). After the race we shall make our way back to Lucca (using some motorway) for the last night. A farewell dinner is organised (again, included in the tour price) in one of Lucca's finest restaurants with transport provided.

The final morning bikes are returned to the DucatiTours' base and all clients are transported back to the airport.
