The meeting point is Pisa airport at 12.30pm on the start date of your tour. If you cannot meet at this time, please contact us.
From the meeting point you will be taken by the support vehicle to the DucatiTours' base for a briefing and the allocation of bikes. There are changing facilities available and there will be time to sort out any small items you would like to carry with you.
The first afternoon takes in the Apennines north of Lucca, past ski resorts and a quick stop at the famous Galleria Ferrari museum. From there it is onwards to the first hotel near Bologna. The first ride is used by the guides to ensure that everyone is comfortable with the bikes and roads.
The Welcome Dinner is part of the tour price and will be held at a restaurant near the hotel
Day 2. We had into Bologna for the Ducati factory tour before heading back into the mountains along the famous Raticosa pass and back into Tuscany. The next hotel, which forms our base for the next two nights is located on the west side of the Casentino/Pratomagno hills and is sure to provide a friendly welcome to the "Ducatitourists". This hotel provides dinner (not included in the tour price) for the group from their quality restaurant.
The next day is for circular rides in the hills of the Casentino and onto the mountain passes of the Casentino and Mugello. Race track smooth corners on the Passi di Callo and Consuma with some less good surfaces on the famous Muraglione, Cento Forche and others (view our video library to see what these roads are like!). This may well be the best riding you have ever done!
We strike out east today. There are more hills to climb and more landscapes to pass on this excursion into the Marche region. We cover some famous motorcycling routes and a varety of surfaces so there will be something for everyone! Some of todays routes have been used as pilgrimage routes for centuries. Not as quickly as we cover them though! If there is enough interest we will organise a track day visit at the Misano World Circuit (within sight of the hotel!). The last full day is used to wind cross-country back towards Lucca, having been to the Bimota factory first. We aim to reach Lucca in the mid-afternoon in order to provide some unwind time before our Farewell dinner at Lucca's best restaurant.
