The meeting point is Pisa airport at 12.30pm on the start date of your tour. If you cannot meet at this time, please contact us.
From the meeting point you will be taken by the support vehicle to the DucatiTours' base for a briefing and the allocation of bikes. There are changing facilities available and there will be time to sort out any small items you would like to carry with you.
The first afternoon takes in the Apennine route "Il Brennero" to Modena, where we will jon the autostrada for approx 80 minutes ride to near the first hotel situated on the shore of Lake Iseo. The first ride (until the autostrada) is used by the guides to ensure that everyone is comfortable with the bikes and roads.
The Welcome Dinner is part of the tour price and will be held at a restaurant near the hotel
The Iseo location places right at the heart of some serious mountains and even more serious roads So this will not be a rest day! Our destination is Bormio at the start of the Stelvio pass, but we dont need to be there until the end of the day. Therefore we will be riding the Madonna di Campiglio, Passo Tonale, Passo D'Aprica and many others. Anyone not used to hairpins will be by the end of the day! If possible, an early arrival at the Bormio hotel is to be advised so that aching muscles may be relaxed in the extensive spa facilities on offer to all clients.
A circular day taking in the mighty Stelvio (weather allowing!) and many other mountain passes. We will be returning to the same hotel and therefore the same facilities to make sure the unwind works for us all!
The penultimate day and our last n the mountains. We head for Garda and a night on the norther shore of Italy's largest lake. The route will include some new roads and some repleated. Group vote will decide what to re-visit.
The last full day starts with a breathtaking ride down the Brennero following the river Adige valley. Lunch will be a stop in the historic city of Verona before rejoining the autostrada to cross the flat plains between Alp and Apennine ranges. The day finishes on the same road as we started, back down the SS12 Brennero to Lucca. The customary Farewell dinner is held at Lucca's best restaurant.
