Are your tours suitable for me?
Any competent motorcyclist can come on our tours and have a great time. Our tours are conducted on performance motorbikes and we expect you to have a sufficient level of skill and experience that will allow you to ride safely. When making a booking the booking agent will ask you about your experience level and advise accordinglyBack to the top
How much riding experience must I have?

What motorcycle equipment and clothing must I bring?
If you are coming on a tour that involves track riding you will need a full set of leathers, gloves, boots and a decent helmet. For road based trips we generally recommend the same although with the summer heat one piece leathers may be too hot. In any case we ask you to remember that our tours do involve some high speed riding (but always ride within your limits!) and correct safety equipment should be worn. Rain is quite rare during the summer in Italy but we do advise bringing light waterproofs with you. A mobile phone is a sensible piece of equipment to have with you at all times.
Most of our hotels have pools and we are sometimes near the beach so remember your swimsuit! (We provide the beach towels to assist in your packing) Back to the top
Will the airlines carry my motorcycle equipment?
We have found the average helmet, leathers, gloves and boots combination weighs around 9kg. Even the low cost airlines provide an allowance of 15kg so there should be no problem. We recommend that you pack your helmet very carefully (bags have little respect shown towards them in the baggage handling world! Do I need to bring a bike?
No. The bikes are our main reason for existence! We are supplying bikes that rental companies do not and that are more focussed than most tour companies offerings'Back to the top
How do I know the bike will fit me?
Normally this is not an issue. Ducatis are slimmer than many Japanese bikes and seat heights are not extreme. These are sportsbikes and are not comfortable for very tall riders but generally we won't be setting on them for hours on end. If you have any doubt we suggest you go to your nearest motorbike shop and sit on a race replica style superbike. The Ducati is much like any other race replica bike, some will find it more comfortable, and others less so!Back to the top
Can I bring my own bike?
Yes but you will have to speak to our booking agent about prices. 99% of our clients use our bikes.Back to the top
Is the riding in a group or on our own?
Generally as a group but you are free to make you own way should you prefer (after the first afternoon). You are provided with road books, maps and any required meeting points and from there the choice is yoursBack to the top
Does the pillion always ride on the bike or can they sit out some legs in the support vehicle?
We do have a maximum capacity to carry three pillions in the support vehicle at any one time other than that your passenger is free to travel with you or in the support vehicle. Back to the top

How many kilometers or miles will I have to ride each day?
The average day will involve 200-350kms (120-210 miles). However direct routes are shorter and if you prefer you may take the short route at any time. Some days are returning to the same hotel as the previous night and you may choose to not ride at all if you feel a rest is required.Back to the top
What are driving standards like in the countries we go to?

Where do I fly to?
Most of our tours start from Pisa airport. Pisa is very well served from the UK (Stansted, Gatwick, Liverpool, Bristol, Bournemouth, Leeds, East Midlands, Glasgow and others and has connections to long haul flights via Rome, Milan, Paris, Munich etc . For people arriving in Rome, Milan or other Italian airports, we can arrange pick up service should you required (quoted per case) Back to the top
Do I need special travel insurance?

What if I have an accident?
We try to ensure accidents do not happen, however, in the rare occasion that an accident does happen our support staff will be on hand to help with all possible situations. Accidents involving other parties in Italy require that the police are present at the scene but we will be on hadn to interpret as requiredBack to the top
What documents do I need to bring?
You will need your passport, driving licence and a copy of your travel insurance. We also will need the original copy of your signed waiver form before we can allocate a bike Back to the top
How do I get my bike to Pisa?
If you are bringing your own bike you will need to ride to Pisa/Lucca or you may transport the bike on motorail services. It is a lot easier and more often than not cheaper to leave your bike at home and use one of ours, but the choice remains with you.Back to the top
What is our accommodation like?
All of our overnight hotels are hand selected by our management team to offer quality, luxury and character. All riders get a private room to themselves (if you book with a passenger/partner they will share with you!) and we do not charge single supplements. Most of our hotels have pools. We do not use 'chain' hotels but prefer family run establishments that take a personal pride in their hotel.Back to the top

How much spending money do I need and can I change money?
You will need money for fuel, lunches and some dinners (plus standard spending etc). Banks are everywhere in Italy and most have cashpoint machines. Our suggested budgets are (per person):
Fuel - 20-25 euro per day
Lunch - 5-15 euro per day
Dinner - 15-40 euro per day (Remember most tours include at least 2 dinners in the price)
Bar/Drinks/Ice cream - 5-15 euro per day

Do I get collected from the airport?
Yes. We offer our clients the most convenience possible including airport transfers, luggage transportation etc
Do I have any insurance excess in the event of any bike damage?
Yes. Our bikes have 4000-7000 euro security deposits (depending on model). In the event of minor damage we will fund the repair from your deposit (and repay the balance. For repairs costing more than the deposit we will not make any refund (to read the full terms and conditions. click here.) Clients haqve the option of buying our 'Tricolore' insurance cover which reduces the security deposit/excess down to 1000 euro per bike (depending on level of cover selected and model of motorcycle).
