David C & Gloria - Vernon BC - (October 2008)

“My third trip with Joe and the gang and we had a blast. Well almost a blast the weather did not totally cooperate. After two trips with perfect weather our luck could not hold this late in the season. We did get some sunny days with low mid 20’s. Thankfully one of them was the day of the Moto GP. Will I go again? You bet this addiction will never be satisfied. In keeping with my “David’s Top Ten” here is my latest for our Spain tour.

David’s (Chambers not Letterman)Top Ten reasons to chose Ducati Tours for Spain.

1. Enjoying the company of Paul, Joe’s friend who stepped in to take care of all our needs. Great job by a great guy.
2. The accommodations of Villa Retiro in Xerta. Glad we got to spend two nights there. Very sweet spot.
3. The dinners at the resort in Xerta. Amazing to say the least! They have a prize in the young Chef that heads up the restaurant.
4. Trying out the new Monster 696. What a cool bike. Handles like a dream.
5. Seeing Gloria in her very hot rain gear
6. The Moto GP in Velencia. If you are a bike enthusiast it is a treat for the senses and a must see event.
7. More Jamie wheelies! He has ordered a 1098 that he is going to turn into a street fighter/wheelie bike. Should be fun to watch.
8. The roads that Joe was able to search out for us. Considering this is not his “back yard” like Italy he did an amazing job of finding some tantalizing twisty’s.
9. Sitting on the side of the road having a nice visit after Joe and Jamie went by all of us with their knees dragging. Well all of us except that police car at the front............We decided to give him some time to find a donut shop.
10. Annnnd “drum roll please” #10 Joe didn’t tell any bad jokes!!! Thank you Joe!

I understand Joe is working on a February riding clinic at a track in the south of Spain. Will be hard to remember it is snowmobile season in Canada and pass on that one. I will be going back for sure in 2009, maybe in July or August. I have heard it is hot and the tires get mega sticky.”
