"As this was primarily my husband's 'big' birthday holiday I expected that I would just be along for the ride, as it were. However, it turned into the best holiday I have ever had and I've had a few in my time. So much so, that whilst we were there we have booked a week for next year and within 24 hours of coming home have booked to go back out again this season!
Everything was amazing, the bikes, hotels, food and organisation.
Yes, you could do this tour, or something similar, by yourself but you would never find the roads, hotels and restaurants or have the same great companionship. Being with likeminded people made the company exceptional fun and easy to get on with within a short space of time.
Highlights: Beautiful unique hotels with stunning views, Siena, chatting around the table during a great dinner (yes and the 'Snatch' moment), quiet roads through breathtaking scenery, glorious weather, and just being looked after from start to finish. I could go on, but you had to be there really!
The downside: coming back home to busy roads, dreary weather and cooking
Very many thanks to all the hard work put in by Joe to keep us all happy and to Jamie for ferrying me around and generally ensuring that I was kept amused wherever possible when the others were out on the bikes. What a great team, nothing was too much trouble at all.
Life's too short, get out and live it whilst you can and this is THE best way to do it!
