This 10 night tour follows the itinerary below. Please click on the hotel images to see more details about accommodation or the other pictures for example route(s) and links to other information

The meeting point is Pisa airport at 12.30pm on the start date of your tour. If you cannot meet at this time, please contact us and we shall make alternative arrangements.
From the meeting point you will be taken by the support vehicle to the DucatiTours base for a briefing and allocation of bikes.
There are changing facilities available and there will be time to sort out any small items you would like to carry with you.
When the group is ready we shall set off for an (approx.) 3 hour ride through the hills of Tuscany to our selected hotel on the near the fortress town of Monteriggioni.

If any riders require items such as radio based intercoms, maps or road books, please let us know before your arrival. We advise all participants to bring a mobile phone that will work in Italy.

Dinner is provided as part of the tour price. (Please remember drinking and riding is strictly not tolerated!)

The precise time for morning starts will be agreed by the group at the initial briefing but we generally don't get started too early!
Our destination is the southern edge of Tuscany and the ancient Etruscan town of Cortona. The route takes us through the Crete Senese, past Montalcino (famous for its Brunello) and down to our hotel for two nights

The next day may be used as a rest day or there will be the option of following the guide for local circuits. The Same hotel is used for the 3rd night

We turn south to pass through the green Hills of Umbria rounding Lago di Trasimeno, pass into Lazio in time for lunch in the impressive hill town of Orvieto before skirting the Lago di Bolsena and reaching our next hotel destination about 50km north of Rome.

This morning we need to be alert! We are heading through the middle of Rome for a couple of photo opportunities by The Colliseum and St Peters. Be warned! Rome traffic is erratic and fast moving (or erratic and stationary!) From Rome we continue south towards the next scheduled stop on the coast near Gaeta.

A relatively short ride to our base for the next 2 nights near Amalfi. There are a few diversions on the way including Vesuvious and Naples.

Today can be used as a rest day with trips to Pompeii, Herculaneum and the Amalfi coast.

Time to turn north, but there are still a few amazing rides and more amazing countryside to pass. Day eight takes us into the Abruzzo national park with its wild landscapes, bears, ski resorts and castles. The overnight is planned in a medieval hill-top town that will be the complete opposite to the previous stop over!

From the heights of the Abruzzo we pass into the Le Marche region of Italy. The destination is Urbino, the day is made up of lots of winding roads for what is our longest single leg of the entire trip.

The last full day takes in a zig-zag route back towards Lucca passing north of Arezzo, round Vinci (birthplace of a certain Leonardo), past Pistoia and through the foothills of the Apennines. A farewell dinner is organised (included in the tour price) in one of Lucca's finest restaurants with no need to ride the bikes afterwards!

The final morning bikes are returned to the DucatiTours' base and all participants are transported back to the airport (or any other local location if your holiday is not ending here).
