"Tricolore" Top-Up Scheme

For those clients who would prefer a little less risk we are pleased to announce our class leading 'Tricolore' scheme. We believe we are the only tour company to offer such an option in Italy, yet again demonstrating that we are pace-setters in high performance motorcycle tours.

Tricolore is designed to be straight forward with three levels of cover - Red, White or Green - and is fully optional; You decide whether to stay with the standard (Red) level or upgrade to either the White or Green level.

The table below shows our list of bikes and the security deposit for each model at each level of cover (all figures in Euro). The security deposit represents the limit of your risk in the event of accidental damage to or theft of the motorcycle. With Tricolore we can reduce the security deposit to only €1000* (subject to the conditions listed below) giving you much greater peace of mind.

The cost of the Tricolore package is only €22.50 per day* for the White level or €39.50 per day* for the Green level. The selected level will be charged for the duration of your tour or rental.

Tricolore only applies to motorcycles. Equipment and luggage rentals are not covered.

Tricolore Conditions (please see also our general Terms and Conditions):

1. Only available for trips of 4 or more days
2. All riders must be 25 years or older
3. Renter's maximum liability is the reduced security deposit except as shown in the table above:
   a. In the case of accidents between two Ducatitours' rental motorcycles the renter is liable for the full value of the motorcycle or cost of damage to the motorcycle (whichever is lower)
   b. If damage is caused to the motorcycle while the rider is under the influence of alcohol, the renter is liable for the full cost of repair
4. In the case of theft of a motorcycle, if the client is unable to return the keys to locks and iginition of the motorcycle the full "Red level" deposit must be paid
5. Tricolore can only be selected for the entire duration of your rental/tour
6. You may decide to add a Tricolore package at any time up until taking delivery of the motorcycle
7. Tricolore does not apply to motorcycles being used on our/any track events
8. Clients who are joing us for a tour and then continue to rent a bike for an extended trip may elect to change their selected level of Tricolore after the tour and before the rental period
9. The premiums for the 1098 are €29.50 per day for 'White' level and €49.50 for 'Green' level
10. All quoted premiums are net of Italian sales tax (IVA/VAT) which will be charged at 20%
11. In the case of the 1098, the security deposit with 'Tricolore Green' is set at €2000
12. All riders must hold a full and valid motorcycle licence for riding in Italy (this may include the need for an International Driving Permit)
13. All motorcycles come with breakdown cover. In the event of a breakdown Ducatitours will reduce the price of rental to exclude time 'off the road'. If mechanical breakdown or component wear is due to the rider abusing the motorcycle (e.g. burnouts, clutch wheelies etc), Ducatitours reserve the right to charge the client for repair.
14. Speciality Tour (trading as Ducatitours) is not liable for any injury resulting from riding a motorcycle. Riding a motorcycle can be dangerous. All renters will sign our standard waiver form before being allocated a motorcycle
